Eugénio de Andrade
Eugénio de Andrade (1923-2005), pseudonym of José Fontinhas, was a Portuguese poet born on January 19, 1923, in Fundão. In 1947 he joined the civil service as an employee of the Medical-Social Services, and in 1950 took up residence in Porto. One of his most striking works is “The Hands and the Fruits”.
